Call for Speakers

IIBA® Austin Chapter is always looking for speakers for our monthly meetings, for workshops, and for our annual conference, Austin Business Analysis Development Day (ATX BADD).

Opportunities

  • Austin Business Analysis Development Day (ATX BADD): ATX BADD brings together diverse professionals from the Austin metro area and elsewhere. This year's conference is Friday, September 20, and our tracks will focus on artificial intelligence, advanced analysis techniques (agile and otherwise), and leadership/communication skills. We prefer Central Texas speakers for this event, although out-of-area speakers are welcome to submit topics for consideration.
  • Monthly Meetings: The Austn Chapter holds monthly meetings on Fridays at noon - typically on the third or fourth week of the month. For 2024, we're back to holding in-person sessions, with Zoom participation available. The meetings may be speaker-focused, or we are open to practitioners who want to facilitate a discussion.
  • Workshops and Other Sessions: We look forward to partnering with speakers on evening or weekend workshops that would mutually benefit you and our members. If you have thoughts on a workshop, please reach out to us!

Topics

We're open to a wide variety of topics - essentially any that would be helpful to business analysts, product owners, and similar practitioners. While we sometimes offer sessions on soft skills, we are mainly interested in offering topics directly related to tasks and techniques from the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) or the other IIBA certifications - Agile Analysis, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics.

If you would like to be considered as a speaker at an upcoming meeting or event, please provide your contact information along with your area of expertise or an abstract.. If it seems like a good fit, we'll reach out as soon as possible!
