In this presentation, data scientist and agency owner Dr. Jed C. Jones will cover:

  • Examples of poorly-designed reports, tables and graphs, side-by-side with some exemplary ones
  • How to think like your audience: your "data consumer"
  • A seven-point checklist for creating a winning report that will get read and understood by your intended audience


Dr. Jed Jones

Dr. Jones is President and Chief Data Scientist of the data-driven, full-service advertising agency, MindEcology. With 20 years of marketing experience with both Fortune 50 companies and small-to-midsize companies in the U.S. and Japan, Dr. Jones has a history of strong leadership and producing results in the areas of customer analytics & modeling, database marketing, data mining, market research, branding strategies, and online/new media marketing. He earned his MBA from UC-Irvine and his doctorate from Saybrook University in Psychology, Organiziational Systems Inquiry.
