Transitioning from a Business Analyst role to Product Owner role
Product Owner role is shaping up to be the next step in many Business Analysts’ career paths. To prepare for this transition, let us understand what strengths we, as Business Analysts, bring to this role, what gaps we must aim to bridge, and finally, how we can be the most effective at it.

Presenter
Disha Trivedi is a Business Analysis consultant who deeply believes in the power of Business Analysis done right. In addition to helping teams and organizations leverage the value delivered by Business Analysis, she is constantly demystifying the field of Business Analysis for new BAs. In more than a decade of working as a BA/Product Owner, she has worked in variety of domains. In addition to Business Analysis and Agile topics, she enjoys presenting about the Sparx Enterprise Architect modeling tool.
Disha holds CBAP,TOGAF 9, PSPO, PSM and ACBA certifications and has served as Secretary for IIBA South Florida from 2011 to 2014. She currently resides in Northern Virginia, and is consulting in government sector. She is also an instructor for Bridging-The-Gap, a Business Analysis training firm.
