Governance

The IIBA Austin Chapter shall be governed by a Board of Directors and Officers. Volunteer nominations are held annually in September. For information on roles and responsibilities view our slideshare presentation IIBA Austin Chapter Board of Directors.

Nominations

If you are interested in running for a Board of Director or Officers position with the IIBA Austin Chapter, please note our requirements:

  • Nominees shall be Members in Good Standing with IIBA International
  • Nominees shall be Members in Good Standing with the IIBA Austin Chapter
  • Nominees shall be available for the full 2 year term
  • Nominees shall attend 7 of 12 monthly board planning meetings
  • Nominees shall commit to 5-10 hours of volunteer work per month
  • Board Members shall adhere to the IIBA Constitution and Bylaws

Officers shall be elected by majority vote of chapter members in attendance at the Annual General Meeting or by email ballot. The candidate who receives a plurality of votes cast for each office shall be elected. Elections are staggered so that approximately half of the officer(s) are elected each year to provide continuity to the Board of Directors.

Board Members and Officers earn hours toward IIBA or other Business Analysis re-certification.
