Welcome to 2017!

First off, let me say how honored I am to serve as the President for this great organization this year. We have a great group of members, an awesome board of directors and a helpful community of business analysts in the Austin area that make the Austin IIBA chapter strong and vibrant. I want to thanks James Lampasona, our outgoing President, for all his help and guidance this past year to prepare me to take on this role. Additionally, I want to thank all our outgoing board members who helped make this chapter what it is today.
 
Let's talk about 2017 now; the theme for 2017 is growth. And by growth, we mean all kinds of growth--that is our rallying cry for the year. Obviously, growth for the chapter in terms of members and events, but also growth for the members through various continuing education events, growth of the Board of Directors to include more subcommittees, and growth of the members of the Board of Directors as well. We are looking to change and grow the chapter in ways that will position us to be able to help business analysts all across central Texas as the BA role changes in the next 5 years!
 
With that in mind, we do have some board positions we are trying to fill, especially President Elect to ensure the continuation of the President role. Please reach out if you are interested.
