IIBA Austin will elect new Board of Director members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 8, 2019. All members are invited to attend, discuss proposed bylaw changes, and vote for the 2020-2021 officers.

Chapter members are also welcome to nominate themselves or other Chapter members for open positions. To do so, please notify us at info@austin.iiba.org. 

The Board of Directors has proposed bylaw changes that affect the positions that are up for election. Members will vote for these changes at the AGM prior to officer elections.

If the bylaw changes are approved, the positions for election will be:

• President (responsibilities on the Roles and Responsibilities page)
• VP of Operations
• VP of Membership
• VP of Sponsorship

We anticipate passage of the bylaw changes, but if they are not approved, the positions for election will be:

• President Elect (responsibilities on the Roles and Responsibilities page)
• VP of Communications (responsibilities on the Roles and Responsibilities page)
• VP of Membership

In order to be on absentee ballots, candidates must be nominated by Tuesday, November 5. Expectations are in the linked documents or locations, and additional information is on the Governance and Nominations webpage. Candidates may nominate themselves in person at the AGM.

The Chapter is also looking for a VP of Professional Development for 2020, since the previous VP had to step down earlier this year. This position will be appointed by the current Board of Directors and will serve through December 2020..
